ISIR identity
The Institute for Intelligent Systems and Robotics (ISIR) is a multidisciplinary research laboratory that brings together researchers and academics from different disciplines of Engineering Sciences and Information and the Life Sciences.
The ISIR a joint research laboratory (UMR7222) which belongs to the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC) and the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS). The ISIR is linked to thethe Faculty of Engineering of UPMC (UFR 919) and also to the Institute for Science and Systems Engineering (INSIS) of the CNRS.
Research at the ISIR are considering topics such as :
Modeling and analysis of dynamic systems artificial and natural
The optimal design of interactive robotic systems
Control of interactive systems
The design and signal processing systems, multimodal perceptual
Modeling human interactions - System
Neuro-computational models for autonomy
The machine learning
The adaptation of bio-inspired systems and their control.
They are focusing applications such as :
- Assistance to the surgical and functional rehabilitation
- The micro / nanomanipulation in space and characterization techniques of objects (biological)
- Haptic and tactile interfaces
- Multimodal interfaces for personal robotics and disability
- Simulation and synthesis of motor function in humanoid robotics and virtual models
- Grasping and manipulation in constrained environments
- Active visual and acoustic perception
- Locomotion with high mobility for autonomy in open environments
- Evolutionary robotics
