I was born in Leiria, Portugal, in 1982 and graduated in Aerospace Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico / Technical University (IST/TULisbon) of Lisbon, Portugal, in 2006.

I received my dual Ph.D. degree in "Aerospace Engineering" from the Instituto Superior Técnico / Technical University of Lisbon (IST/TULisbon), Portugal, and in "Automatique et Traitement du Signal et des Images" from the University of Nice, France, in December 2010.

I was with the I3S-CNRS/UNSA at Sophia-Antipolis, France, since June 2010 till May 2012 as Post-Doctoral Researcher.

My research interests include navigation and control of aerial and space vehicles, visual servoing, visual tracking, active vision and computer vision.
